Short Biography:
I grew up on a farm in southern Kansas where my parents and two sisters actively worked together in living a rural way of life and connecting to our local community. After getting a college degree, two adventures inspired my life in dramatic ways: being a camp counselor for New York inner city youth and becoming a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa. These work experiences have contributed to my desire to understand families who come from all different types of backgrounds which is essential in my current position of assisting Kansas Extension agents in meeting the relational needs of families within their communities. My husband and I have two adult children, one grandchild, and are involved in raising purebred cattle.
