Short Biography:

Dr. Betsy Barrett joined the HMD faculty in 1993 after she received her PhD at Kansas State University. Prior to coming to KSU, Dr. Barrett taught at the University of Alabama in the Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management and was employed by Morrison’s Management Services as chief dietitian and foodservice director. Dr. Barrett is Director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics, advises hospitality management, dietetic and graduate students and has served on numerous committees for the department, college and university. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, CHRIE, PCMA, National Restaurant Association, and American School Foodservice Association.
