Merchandising: Master’s Degree Distance Program

Take the industry by storm! This program, designed primarily for working professionals in apparel marketing seeking an advanced degree, provides extensive merchandising knowledge in an interactive online setting. Students take coursework in areas such as consumer behavior, professional behavior, product design, development and evaluation, promotional strategies, retail theory, research methods, and strategic planning. Graduates move into areas such as product development, promotions and retail management. Retail is the largest in the nation, and it only seems to continue to grow, providing graduates with many opportunities to succeed.

How It Works

This inter-institutional master’s degree offered through the Great Plains IDEA is taught entirely via the Internet. The program is designed so working professionals should be able to complete it in a minimum of two years. The program requires either six credit hours of thesis or practicum experience.
