Alumni Advice to Future Students:
“You will be putting in many hours both in the classroom and on the field. Without the student athletic trainers, (the demands of ) KSU athletics would be much more difficult for the full-time athletic trainers. Work hard and they will bend over backwards for you when you go out into the real world. They have for me.” — Tony Katzenmeier, ATC, ’04 Athletic Training, graduate teaching assistant at Eastern Illinois University, past intern for the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots
“The strongest aspect about K-State’s athletic training program is the hands-on experience students receive. K-State has a great relationship with the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center, which allows students to interact with doctors and observe surgeries. Students get evalution and rehab experience by working with Division I athletic programs on a daily basis.” — Heather Duitsman, ATCC/LAT, ’04 athletic training and kinesiology, graduate assistant athletic trainer at Eastern Illinois University
