Family and Consumer Sciences Education
Want to dedicate your life to helping young people lead better lives? Family and consumer sciences instructors teach teens and adults the skills they need to be healthy individuals and build strong families. We’re talking about things like parenting education, nutrition, food science, textiles and apparel choices, balancing family and work, and other problem-solving and management techniques. Students finish their general education and subject-matter courses through the College of Human Ecology, and then fulfill teacher education requirements in the College of Education. This accredited program allows students to qualify for Kansas licensure in family and consumer sciences education. Touch a life, teach a child!
