General Human Ecology

Think lots of human ecology fields sound cool? You can choose to major in general human ecology and create your own degree program, meeting certain requirements and pulling electives from various majors in the College of Human Ecology or other departments at K-State. This allows you to create unique specializations that integrate the disciplines in new ways — like specializing in early childhood nutrition or developing new foods for people with swallowing disorders. This mix of studies is perfect for those who aspire to careers in education, Cooperative Extension, business, community service and communications. General human ecology graduates have the knowledge and valuable skills necessary to manage and understand interpersonal relationships and solve complex societal problems. If that isn’t appealing to employers, what is? :-)
