Gerontology — Secondary Major
With the population of the U.S. aging at an incredible rate, you might want to add a secondary major in gerontology studies to any other major at K-State. The number of aging-related jobs is going through the roof! This secondary major will help set you apart to employers, especially when you pair it with any of a variety of major degree programs, including interior design, financial planning, hotel and restaurant management, family life and community service, human nutrition, or dietetics. Gerontology graduates work in health care, long-term care, nonprofit agencies and numerous other fields that deal with older populations. As long as we keep living longer, healthier, more vital lives, your skills should always be in demand!
