Kansas State University is redefining the way to earn a degree in dietetics. Utilizing state-of-the-art online technology, K-State’s dietetics program offers courses for completion of a baccalaureate degree in dietetics (didactic program only). The general education courses in the dietetics curriculum may be completed on the Manhattan campus, through distance learning, at a community college or other university. The professional courses in the program (foods, nutrition and foodservice management courses) can be completed online. During the semester students are taking HMD 341 Principles of Food Production Management, they will need to apply to the DPD. 

Admission requirements are:

  • Minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 point scale
  • No grade lower than a C in a science course or a professional (HMD or HN) course.
  • Completion of 150 hours of experience projects. (Refer to information on experience projects in the student handbook). These must be documented by submission of your portfolio with your application.
  • Completion of application with transcript and verification of experience projects with portfolio.
