K-State’s Human Ecology Honors Program Gains New Members

MANHATTAN — Nine new members have joined the College of Human Ecology Honors Program at Kansas State University.
Students who are incoming freshmen with excellent ACT scores or continuing students with a 3.5 cumulative grade point average are invited to join the program. Members are eligible to take honors courses offered at K-State and are advised about national scholastic competitions, as well as international and graduate study opportunities.
Honors students also must complete senior research papers, many of which are published in professional journals.
New members include: Janea Wendell, sophomore in athletic training, Beloit; Miho Yonemochi, sophomore in nutritional sciences, and Siew Men Ong, senior in dietetics, both of Manhattan; Kristin Schieber, sophomore in family studies and human services, Overland Park; Cassidy Breeden, sophomore in communication sciences and disorders, Quinter; Pratik Patel, junior in public health nutrition, Shawnee; Catrisse Orr, sophomore in nutritional sciences, Sterling; and Megan Maxwell, sophomore in hotel and restaurant management, Whiting.
