“Voices in Fear of Retribution II”

Sherry Haar Quilt

A mini art quilt by faculty member Sherry Haar will be on exhibit at the Indianapolis Art Center July 27 through Sept. 2. “The concept of the piece represents women whose lives can be persecuted for having a voice and telling truths,” Haar said. Techniques include free-motion stitching, piecing, and quilting. Dr. Haar, who teaches apparel and textile courses, has been honored for her wearable art and her functional design scholarship. She holds two patents on therapeutic designs for children with sensory disabilities.
