Jamie Bauerle elected to national KON board

Jamie Bauerle, a junior in family and consumer science education, has been elected to the national board of directors of Kappa Omicron Nu. She will serve a 2-year term as a student member.

Jamie, a leadership studies minor, is editor of the Kansas State Omicron Theta Chapter of the national human sciences honor society. Kappa Omicron Nu recognizes students for academic achievement and involvement in Human Ecology. While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, Jamie is co-president of Wildcats Against Rape (W.A.R.), works as a tutor and a mentor and is involved with Relay for Life, the Downs Syndrome Buddy Walk and Kansas 4-H programs and events.

She was installed at the group’s national conference in Dallas in August.

Jamie, a 2005 graduate of Hiawatha High School, is the daughter of Carol Strahm.
