Elaine Johannes named health leadership scholar

Elaine Johannes

Elaine Johannes has been selected as a Kansas Public Health Leadership Institute Scholar.

Johannes is assistant professor and Extension specialist in youth development with the School of Family Studies and Human Services. She coordinates the Youth Development Masters Program.

The Kansas Public Health Leadership Institute is a yearlong competency- based training program aimed to help scholars develop leadership knowledge and skills to be used to improve the public health infrastructure in Kansas in the 21st century. Scholars come from fields of psychology, medicine, human development and social work.

Johannes received her doctorate in Life Span Development at K-State.
