Chicago dietitian named distinguished researcher

Mary Gregoire

Mary Gregoire, who has published more than 270 research articles, books, book chapters and abstracts, will receive the Distinguished Research Award Friday at the College of Human Ecology’s annual Celebration of Excellence.

Gregoire, a registered dietitian, is the director of food and nutrition services at
Rush University Medical Center and professor of clinical nutrition and
health systems management at Rush University in Chicago.

She has been an active researcher in food service and hospitality management focusing on issues such as operational effectiveness, competency assessment and educational preparation. She has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on more than 20 funded projects totaling over $1.5 million.

She earned a doctorate in food service and hospitality management from K-State in 1985.
