College honors Dietitian Carol Banister

Carol Banister, a registered and licensed dietitian, will receive the
Entrepreneur Award from the College of Human Ecology Friday.
She is one of seven alumni to be honored at the annual Celebration of Excellence.
A certified diabetes educator, she has taught at the University of Oklahoma College
of Health and at the University of Central Oklahoma. She heads Banister and Associates, a nutrition consulting company that serves patients with a variety of needs, including diabetes, heart disease, eating disorders, weight control and cancer.
Banister earned a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and management in 1973 and a master’s in nutrition in 1974, both from K-State.
