Alpha Chi chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron at K-State initiates new members

MANHATTAN — Kansas State University’s Alpha Chi chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron, a national honor society in family and consumer sciences, has gained new members.
An initiation ceremony was Nov. 11 at K-State.
Phi Upsilon Omicron recognizes and encourages achieved excellence in scholarship, leadership and service. It has 59 collegiate chapters, one international chapter and 31 alumni chapters, and more than 88,423 members living throughout the United States and around the world. Founded in 1909 at the University of Minnesota, it is the oldest national and consumer sciences honor society and is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. K-State’s chapter of the honor society was established in 1960.
New Phi Upsilon Omicron members at K-State include:
Lynette Conklin, sophomore in dietetics, Argonia; Rebecca Zirger, sophomore in family and consumer science education, Frankfort; Baylee Lehmann, junior in apparel design, Gaylord; Kristen Wilkerson, sophomore in family studies and human services, Johnson; Seojin Choi, graduate student in human nutrition, and Tabatha Neubert, senior in family studies and human services, both of Manhattan; and Kaitlin McNeive, sophomore in communication sciences and disorders, Meriden.
