Design professors present top papers in Montreal

Papers presented by Migette Kaup, associate professor of interior design, and Barbara Anderson, assistant professor of interior design, were judged among the best at the Interior Design Educators Council international conference this month in Montreal, Canada.

Only nine out of 101 papers were identified as outstanding, based on scores earned through a blind peer-review process.

Kaup’s paper was “Exploring Strategies for Optimizing the Design of
Therapeutic Environments for People with Dementia: Opportunities for
Changing the Culture of Care.”

Anderson wrote “Redefining Beauty in Interior Design.”

Also at the meeting, Kaup was elected to serve on the Interior Design
Educators Council’s board of directors as the regional chair liaison.
