Sellers to chair national caregiving group

Deb Sellers, assistant professor in FSHS, has been elected chair of the national eXtension Family Caregiving Community of Practice.
The mission of the multi-disciplinary Family Caregiving Community of Practice is to assist people who address caregiving needs at individual, family and community levels. The initiative is part of eXtension, an Internet-based educational partnership of 74 land-grant institutions.
She provided comments regarding the work of eXtension at a recent meeting of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. The session was entitled “E-Learning: The Changing Face of Education.
In addition, Sellers received the State Early Career Award at the Annual Extension Conference from the Alpha Rho Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Phi, the National Honorary Extension Fraternity.
