In the news: Students tapped for honors

Aditi Shukla, graduate student in apparel and textiles, is one of six students to receive $1,000 scholarships from Benchmark Financial, a general agency of New England. Students were awarded the scholarships for being the top performers in a senior level marketing management course.
Quest, a freshman honorary society unique to KSU, has named new members for the 2008-2009 school year. They include Megan Barnett, nutrition and kinesiology, and Mindy Highberger, apparel and textiles.
Sara Rosenkrantz, PhD student in Human Nutrition working with Dr. Craig Harms, won the “Outstanding Doctoral Award” from the Central States American College of Sports Medicine. She received $500 to apply to travel to attend a national meeting.
Three CHE students were selected for K-State’s 2008-09 cheerleader squad. They are Nick Burrowes, freshman in apparel and textiles, Dominika Guerra, junior in hotel and restaurant management, and Lauren Alyse Glesmann, junior in hotel and restaurant management.
